National Night Out is an annual community-building event that encourages neighbors to connect with one another and with local law enforcement officers. The goal is to build stronger communities and promote safety. Essentially, it is a positive neighborhood block party or gathering designed to strengthen relationships and community-policing efforts against crime.

Our upcoming National Night Out will be held throughout the community on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6 p.m. until dark

How to Host a block party in your neighborhood?

  • Step 1: Get with your HOA to confirm the site/house you will have the party at.
  • Step 2: Register your party by completing the form below.
  • Step 3: Send out invitations to your neighborhood and see if anyone wants to help set up your party.
  • Step 4: Decide what food, drinks, and activities you will have at your party.
  • Step 5: Delegate tasks to neighbors so the party goes smooth.
  • Step 6: Get decorations, tables, speaker (if needed), etc.
  • Step 7: Set up the party and have FUN with you neighbors and special guests (KPD, KFD, City Officials).
